Pittsburgh
Artist Needs Survey |
| |
As
the first step in a larger project aimed at making our region
a better place for artists of all disciplines to live and
work, the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council is investigating
the different ways that local organizations serve individual
artists and compiling a list of the resources and services
that artists feel are needed most.
The Arts Council would like to thank all of those who participated
in the survey which closed on February 26th. We are currently
in the process of analyzing the results and will post them
to this page in the coming months. This analysis will help
to guide future efforts and initiatives aimed at eliminating
duplications in services, and meeting the needs of local artists.
If you have any questions about this project, please contact
the Arts Council at 412.391.2060. |

Pennsylvania
Cultural Data Project |
| |
The
PACDP is a standardized online system that has been created
for collecting historic financial and organizational data
for grant applications to: Allegheny Regional Asset District,
Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance, Greater Pittsburgh
Arts Council, The Heinz Endowments, Independence Foundation,
Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, Pennsylvania Historical
and Museum Commission, The Pew Charitable Trusts, Philadelphia
Cultural Fund, The Pittsburgh Foundation, and William Penn
Foundation and other funders.
Aggregate, anonymous data (data combined from many anonymous
organizations, so that no individual organization's information
can be determined) is available for benchmarking, to allow
participating organizations to compare their data with their
peers. In addition, aggregate data is used as a source of
consistent and reliable information on the states cultural
sector. This data makes it possible to analyze and report
on the impact, assets and needs of the regions cultural
community.

Pittsburgh
Opinion Exchange |
| |
The
Pittsburgh Opinion Exchange (POE) is a collaboration
spearheaded by PittsburghToday,
for the purposes of capturing and measuring the opinions,
demographics, and behaviors of local residents. The POE will
rely on web-based polling widgets distributed
across the web sites of participating non-profits, online
media, and corporations. These widgets will deliver weekly
three-question polls designed to ascertain key attitudinal
and demographic indicators. |
|
|
| |
The
Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council is strongly encouraging members
of the local arts and culture community to participate in
this data collection by hosting an Arts and Lifestyle widget
on their website. Every participating organization will have
access to up-to-the-minute results and data for respondents
captured through their site. Groups can then also view aggregate
statistics for all responses captured by that particular themed
widget. Data will be available through a CivicScience.com
secure log-in. To learn more about the Pittsburgh Opinion
Exchange download the the information below or visit Pittsburgh
Today. |
