About
Us
This local network exists to strengthen Pittsburgh's
cultural workforce by connecting emerging arts managers
with skill-building and leadership development resources.
It is connected to similar networks around the country
by an informal affiliation with Americans
for the Arts. Designed for individuals with less
than 10 years experience in arts management, Pittsburgh's
network connects you in two ways:
The

This
simple, concise web resource easily interacts with any
email accountGmail, Yahoo!, Outlook and more.
You can use this free site as an active way to connect
with peers by sharing your ideas, or you can use it
passively as a listserv to stay informed. Features include:
- Interactive
listserv Send and receive messages to the
entire listserv, enabling you to ask questions, share
news articles, find committee membersanything
you need! By sending an email to pghleaders@googlegroups.com,
youll reach everyone subscribed to the group.

and online resources you couldnt work without,
or upload office templates, articles etc. that might
be helpful to your peers.
Quarterly
Networking Events
Find people, find resources, find good conversations!
Hosted by local arts organizations or corporations,
these events will consist of structured discussions,
creative channels to find the people you need, quiet
corners for 1 to 1 conversations and open meeting rooms
for brain-storming. Though topics will vary, the events
will focus on arts management issues that are pressing
to emerging leaders.
Additionally,
each October the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council will
partner with Americans for the Arts (AFTA) to host a
Creative
Conversation in celebration of National
Arts & Humanities month. These discussions will
be part of the national Emerging Leader Network of AFTA
members.
