National
PARK(ing) Day
| Date: |
Friday,
September 19th at 6:00pm |
| |
One
day a year people in cities all over the country get together
to turn metered public parking spots into public parks.
PARK(ing) Day, sponsored by The Trust for Public Land and
created by Rebar in 2005, is meant to encourage people to
rethink how streets are used, and to temporarily expand
the amount of public open space in an urban environment.
We hope you join us in our efforts to bring this wonderful
project to Pittsburgh. Mark your calendars - National PARK(ing)
Day is September 19, 2008! |
